- When should I bring you in?
- Before the plasterboard goes up. First fix needs the walls and ceilings open, so talk to me when you or your builder plan the stages of the job.
- Will my fuse box cope with the extra rooms?
- Sometimes not. New circuits need space in the consumer unit (fuse box), and protection older boards don't have. I check it at the start, so it isn't a surprise halfway through.
- Is the work signed off?
- Yes. New circuits in a home come under Part P, the building regulation for electrical work in homes. I'm Part P registered, so I can certify my own work, and you get the certificate when it's done.
- Do you work for builders?
- Yes. I work for builders and contractors as the electrician on site, as well as for homeowners. The review on this page is from another electrician I've worked alongside.
